Billy, the 3rd born, was probably born at home on Leap Day, 1940. After 3 or 4 years as a stay-at-home kid, he went to East Street School for kindergarten. Then he followed his two older brothers to continue his education at Saint Boniface elementary school. At age 13, he went off to the seminary, St. Vincent Scholasticate, in Latrobe, PA spending only summer vacations and Holidays at home. On his 18th birthday he returned an once again took up residence on Bly Street. Seventeen months later he joined the Air Force, effectively leaving home for good. Eight months later, he returned to marry Judi and whisk her away to New York then Texas. There were a few short visits back to Bly Street before they were stationed in Japan. By the end of their second tour in 1968, no Hartmanns lived at 30 Bly Street.
